Bad service, very bad Risotto

Went to eat here with friends. The salad was delicious, the pizza I think was more of a frozen pizza that was worth the price. You can eat cheap and delicious here, but don't expect fresh pizza (still okay for the price)

We waited over an hour for the noodles and then they were totally overcooked and the sauce was so watery that you couldn't taste anything. Despite the low prices, the price-performance ratio is zero. The portions were also very well arranged

Extremely rude service. A bad experience from the start. We arrived, a waiter (possibly the owner himself) saw us, but completely ignored us for a good while until showing us a table. He then brought a dish different from what i ordered, which i was actually happy to take, but did not even let me finish my sentence - which was just for him to take note when preparing the bill. It seems they don't need clients during a pandemic or ever at all.

Super nice courtyard. Delicious meal. BUT: the cigarette smoke in the yard was unbearable. He couldn't pull it off at all. I only go back when smoking is no longer allowed outside in the courtyard when others are eating. POOH!

The food was very good & the courtyard is very nice to look at with all the tendrils, flowers and leaves that adorn the walls. What turned out to be a disruptive factor for me as a single person was the musical sound in the courtyard in combination with the regular background noise that one expects in a restaurant.

The restaurant is really extremely stylishly furnished. No cheap decoration, but the colors were really lovingly adapted to each other. It was not only the attentive restaurant staff that was the total hit during our visit, but also the unique ambience. All dishes were nicely prepared and are always served warm. I found the offer very pleasant.

First I would like to emphasize that I am not a would-be culinary who is never satisfied, "only" a GUEST who wants the service that is at least appropriate for the money he has earned. The pizzeria la Piazza is just another disappointing eatery in a long line of Freiburg eateries that especially like to feed "the German". To my surprise (before the meal), many reviews did not highlight the food but the "unbeatable prices". With nieces !! The prices would be reasonable for a passable performance on the stove, paired with a decent portion! I also have a little Italian blood that what was presented to me and my family would have given any Italian outbursts of anger. Let's start with the smallest evil, the actually not to be messed up pizza ... not only that the pizza was tiny (pancake size), carelessly cheap salami thrown on it, bland sauce, cheap cheese ... I've finished ... then another dish that I could cook blindfolded ... Penne Arrabiata, the pasta deserved its name only because it described my state of mind perfectly ... totally overcooked pasta, the sauce made from bad tomatoes (I assume from the can) and so much chilli that my wife even wanted to eat the pizza. Now we come to my dish, I love lasagna, the normal thing in which a ragout actually belongs, but well that is time-consuming and expensive and I didn't expect it ... but !! I should have thrown what I got in your mailbox !! I want to keep the description brief: Soft-boiled, almost buttery leaves, lousy cheese of unknown origin, NO BECHAMEL sauce to be found, but pieces of cooked ham ???? I don't know whether the gentlemen are Italians, but if this is the case, they are in no way, really in no way worthy of the Cucina italiana, not only in Freiburg, no in all of Germany. Furthermore, I have to wonder if my countrymen's taste buds have grown the wrong way round. Dare to tell these people how it is, stop this messing around and the well-intentioned reviews, it's just embarrassing, that's why these people laugh at us and get into the Mercedes after work while we sit on the bowl 2 hours after dinner.

The pizza was very good the only thing I could suggest, put a little more spinach on the pizza it looked like you ran out of. Only because of that 1 star Wieninger everything else is great.

The two stars are only for the ambience. The pizza looked like a warm-up pizza a'la Wagner ... and I think they also use such ready-made doughs. Mine was a Frutti di Mare, which was almost exclusively surimi (fish mush ...), which has nothing to do with seafood. In addition, it was almost cold when it was served. The service was not particularly friendly, but that is not included in the rating. This has nothing to do with a good pizzeria, with fresh ingredients and Italy. Only the atmosphere in the gazebo was actually quite nice.

One of the best Italian restaurants I know. The dishes taste really authentic, you can even see that in the pizza dough, you have to try it. And yet the prices are very cheap and the staff friendly. The whole is an overgrown inner courtyard, so you have peace and quiet while eating.

Authentic Italian restaurant where you can eat delicious pasta and puzza, at the right price and with very good service. Dining on the garden terrace is a joy.

Good products. On the other hand, the waiter lacked a little, even a lot of courtesy. Kindness to review! Work on customer contact!

What more could you want from a restaurant, a dream come true

Cheap but very small pizzas. On the pizza with artichokes you had to look for the two pieces of artichoke, on the other pizza the bottom was not through. In terms of taste, many things from the supermarket refrigerated shelves are better. The knives were out of focus, the table wobbled a lot while cutting. The inner courtyard is very nice, where you can eat in a quiet and somewhat cooler environment, even on hot days.

Mass processing, staff-who laughs in the basement, food is complete average. Only the prices are okay in terms of the service offered. If the guys who work there are supposed to be Italians - then my grandfather's name is Ingrid !!! I wouldn't have to have it a second time!

Very nice ambience in the back yard with vine leaves that rise upwards over several floors. Food at a very moderate price-performance ratio. If various tourists want to overeat ... This is not a stamp It's easy, tasty and pleasant here!

Not recommended. Beautiful courtyard garden, but it is. Spaghetti with seafood requested .. I did not find the fruits😂. Just some surimi and microscopic pieces of squid. For the price you should not leave it, about 8 euros for a dish. Quick bite to get rid of your hunger, that's all it is.

Great prices but customer service is a little bit on the poor side.

We were there for lunch. We didn't wait long to be seated or for the food. The pizza was really good and Gnocchi also. They forgot the coke and it was still on the bill. We mentioned it and they took it off no problem.

Very unfriendly staffs. The indoor seating was full and we are asked to sit outside with an unfriendly tone. We waited in a cold weather for 30 minutes. None of the three waiters came to us. Other guests who came later got served first. I wonder maybe because we don't look like local people. So disappointed. When we left, the waiters did not even ask or try to stop us.

The resteraunt is one of a few that stays open late into the evening. The service was okay, the pizza was slightly better than okay, but not the best I have ever had. Both the pizza and the wine (pinot grigio) I had was excellent value for money. The atmosphere in the resteraunt was nice typically italian. When I was there it was quiet, but I can imagine it has a buzz during the day. Recommended for a quick convenient meal.
